Compiègne is a commune in the Oise department in northern France. The city is located along the Oise River. Its inhabitants are called Compiégnois.

The Compiègne Forest is a forest in the historic region of Picardie, France, near the town of Compiègne. The area of the forest is 14,485 hectares (35,790 acres).
